The Colony Chamber of Commerce has several Board of Director positions to fill for the coming year. According to our bylaws the positions can only be filled by Business Members.

Board Directors are expected to make monthly meetings and form committees to complete the Program of Work planned by the entire board. Director terms range from 2-3 years. A half day Planning Retreat in September will also be mandatory.

If you have prior experience participating on a Board or chairing a committee and would like to use your leadership skills to help the business community grow and thrive, please contact the chamber office 972.625.8027 or reply to this email to receive an application from the Chamber Nominating Committee no later than July 29.

so what is the current status of this?

I'm not sure. I checked the website and the 2009 Board is still listed so I don't know if they've had elections or not. I will check after the holiday weekend.
